Jill has pointed out the essential weirdness of the Republicans being red and the Democrats being blue. Now I understand why I can never remenber which is which.

This weekend was a sewing weekend, which means I listened to Deutschlandfunk for hours (thank you, streaming internet radio). The coverage of the PDS-Parteitag was quite a change from the US Democratic or Republican rhetoric.
